AO Spine Hybrid Principles Course – Cervical Trauma

On 10-11 June 2021, the Second Department of Trauma Surgery of SMU became a co-organizer of the AO Spine Hybrid Principles Course – Cervical Trauma workshop in cooperation with the departments of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Budapest (Hungary) and Gdansk (Poland). A total of 46 participants from the above 4 countries, including the Slovak Republic, participated in the workshop.
The course focused on spinal treatment. It consisted of two parts: lectures and practical exercises. The lectures were delivered online. II. KÚCH SZÚ was represented in this part by the lecture of MUDr. Martin Holas and MUDr. Juraj Šváč. The practical part was carried out in individual countries. The centre for the Slovak Republic was the EDUKA educational centre (part of the F. D. Roosevelt Hospital in Bystrica), which provided an ideal space for practice and technical equipment for mutual sharing.
