4th European Day of Regional Anaesthesia

On 11 September 2021, a unified ESRA education programme took place in 12 European countries, 15 regional anaesthesia centres during the fourth European Regional Anaesthesia Day. Banská Bystrica is one of these important European educational centres for regional anaesthesia. In total, more than 1,200 physicians across Europe participated in this event.
The European Society for Regional Anaesthesia (ESRA) in cooperation with the Regional Anaesthesia Section of SSAIM: SKARA – ESRA member, II.KAIM SZU FNsP F.D.Roosevelt Banská Bystrica, II.KPAIM SMU DFNsP Banská Bystrica and EDUKA (Educational Centre of FDR UGH Banská Bystrica) prepared a day-long online training programme for more than 25 anaesthesiologists from all over Slovakia.
Due to the pandemic situation, the expert programme was conducted online from the studio of the EDUKA Banská Bystrica, where the lecturers of the Bystrica centre were present: Dr. Jakub Vachalík, Dr. Jakub Hlásny (EDRA Examiner), Dr. Peter Kenderessy (scientific secretary of SKARA) and Dr. Michal Venglarčík (vice-president of SKARA). The day was a combination of presentations by Slovak experts and live presentations by European experts via telebridges between the centres, including podcasts. The event was enriched by discussions and exchange of knowledge between participants and experts, which followed the individual lecture blocks.
We hope to meet together again in January 2022 for the 5th European Day of RA 2022
